What is food poisoning?Foodborne illness, more commonly referred to as food poisoning, is the result of eating contaminated, spoiled, or toxic food. The most common symptoms of food poisoning include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.Symptoms of potentially life-threatening food poisoning include:1. Diarrhea that lasts for more than 3 days2. Fever higher than 102°F (38.9°C)3. Difficulty seeing or speaking4. Symptoms of severe dehydration, which may include dry mouth, passing little to no urine, and difficulty keeping fluids down5. Bloody urineCauses of food poisoningMost food poisoning can be traced to one of three major causes: bacteria, parasites, or viruses. These pathogens can be found in almost all of the food humans eat. However, heat from cooking usually kills pathogens on food before it reaches our plate. Foods eaten raw are common sources of food poisoning because they don’t go through the cooking process.Food poisoning treatmentsFood poisoning can usually be treated at home. Here are some ways you can help treat food poisoning:1. Stay hydratedIf you have food poisoning, it’s crucial to remain properly hydrated. Sports drinks high in electrolytes can be helpful. Fruit juice and coconut water can restore carbohydrates and help with fatigue.2. Take over-the-counter (OTC) medicationsOver-the-counter (OTC) medications such as loperamide (Imodium) and Pepto-Bismol can help you manage diarrhea and suppress nausea.3. RestIt’s also important for those with food poisoning to get plenty of rest.If your case is severeIn severe cases of food poisoning, you may require hydration with intravenous (IV) fluid at a hospital.Cited from: https://buff.ly/3EFF0bs#Day4#stayhealthy#foodpoisoning

Your question posed "Did you Know" just about all in society know that all industry , and human health and biosecurity are all fighting the same AMR issues with cross infection and disease from each and every one of these practices. Why then multiple research institutions and projects to find the silver bullet, maybe I should rephrase that to ? financia;l pot of gold ' for rediscovering the wheel in common Bacteria Viruses Spores, and fungus affecting Agriculture Medical and bio security disciplines. good example is biofilms) Do we really want to accept and modify applications , like published in the plethora of scientific journals .. on the likes of PUBMED ?Or is this simply going to limit the flow of research funding to each of the Industry funded research bodies., Usually research references all of these published papers , The usual form is to only Cherry pick outcomes that provide platforms to suit their project differentiation Sorry about laymans thoughts and terminology.

When we experience symptoms such as nausea, cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea, it's natural to point our fingers at the the food we have eaten. Both #food 🍱 poisoning and stomach flu can make us feel terrible 😖 . Food poisoning originates from eating contaminated food containing bacteria like salmonellaor E. coli, while #stomach flu, also known as viral gastroenteritis, is usually caused by #Norovirus (more active in winter) or #Rotavirus. It's important to take precautions and follow these practical tips:√Thoroughly wash your hands 💧 before handling food.√Properly store food to prevent bacteria growth. Keep raw and cooked foods separate and refrigerate perishable items promptly.√Ensure food is cooked thoroughly to eliminate harmful bacteria or toxins.√Check expiration dates on packaged and perishable items.√Choose reputable sources when dining out or purchasing food.√Trust your senses 👀 and avoid consuming anything that looks or smells suspicious.√Remember to drink plenty of clear water to stay hydrated, and if you have severe symptoms, seek immediate medical help 💊 .√Avoid close contact with someone who has the stomach flu.#medical #medicaltreatment #healthy #disease #reagent #diagnosis #detection #food #stomach #flu #gastroenteritis #Norovirus #Rotavirus #symptoms

The black house ant, scientifically known as Tapinoma melanocephalum, is a common household pest found worldwide. Despite their small size, they can quickly establish large colonies within homes, particularly attracted to sugary substances and food scraps. While not known to transmit diseases directly to humans, they can contaminate food and surfaces, posing a sanitation risk.Property Damage: Black house ants can nest in wall cavities, beneath floors, and even within electrical outlets. Over time, they can cause structural damage by hollowing out wood and compromising the integrity of your home.Food Contamination: These ants are attracted to a wide range of food items, including sweets, meats, and greasy foods. Their presence in kitchens and pantries can lead to contamination of food supplies, rendering them unfit for consumption.Hygiene Concerns: As ants forage for food, they leave behind pheromone trails that attract more ants to the same area. This can result in unsightly trails along walls and countertops, as well as increased ant activity throughout the home.Allergies and Bites: While black house ants are not typically aggressive towards humans, they can bite if provoked or threatened. Additionally, some individuals may experience allergic reactions to ant bites, resulting in discomfort and irritation.Given these concerns, it's essential to implement effective ant control measures to manage infestations promptly. Our knockdown, flushing, and baiting technique offers a reliable solution, targeting ant nests directly and ensuring long-term control of your infestation. #AntControl #PestManagement #HomeMaintenance
